Virtual Floppy Drive is a free application that enables users to create virtual drives which can be used as if they were real ones. It supports drive sizes from 160KB (5.25”) to 2.88MB (3.5”) and allows users to select the letter to assign it. This program is ideal for users with older computers who need a virtual drive creator.
Virtual Floppy Drive for Windows is developed by Ken Kato. The most popular version of this product among our users is 2.1. The names of program executable files are vfd.exe, vfdwin.exe.
Good product actually gives a permanent virtual floppy after windows loads desktop. But a bit tricky to use for regular users. I used a batch file that loads vfd.exe then opens the virtual floppy drive. But you must install and configure a *.flp file once to make it permanent every time you run the batch.
